Terms of Service

1. What AlbaShift is

AlbaShift is a booking platform. We help renters discover and request cars, and help agencies receive those requests. The rental itself is a contract directly between the renter and the agency. We are not the car rental provider, we do not own the vehicles, and we are not a party to the rental agreement.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18. Provide accurate information and keep your account secure; you are responsible for activity under it.

3. Renters

• You submit a booking request; the agency confirms or declines it.
• Prices are shown in Albanian Lek (an EUR estimate may be shown for convenience). Payment is made directly to the agency (cash or card at pickup) — we do not process payments.
• You may withdraw a request while it is still pending. After confirmation, contact the agency or support@albashift.al.
• The vehicle, its condition, insurance, deposits, and rental terms are the agency's responsibility.

4. Agencies — beta terms

• Free during beta. There is currently no commission or fee to list or receive bookings.
• No exclusivity. You keep your own booking channels and customers; AlbaShift sends you additional bookings.
• You own the rental relationship. The rental contract, vehicle condition and safety, insurance, deposits, and legal/tax compliance are entirely between you and the renter.
• Future fees. If we introduce a fee, we will give you at least 30 days' notice; you may stop using the platform before it takes effect.
• Your obligations: keep listings and availability accurate, honour confirmed bookings, respond to requests promptly, and hold the licences and insurance required to rent vehicles in Albania.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use AlbaShift for fraud, misrepresentation, or unlawful activity, and do not misuse or attempt to disrupt the platform. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of your listings, photos, and messages. You grant us a licence to host and display this content as needed to operate the service.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that a request will be confirmed, or the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any vehicle or rental. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AlbaShift is not liable for the rental itself or for disputes, losses, or damages arising between renters and agencies. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; we'll revise the "last updated" date and notify you of material changes. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
